If you have kids who have phones, use instant message systems, communicate via social media, or talk to anyone in ways other thank face to face, here are some acronyms YOU need to be aware of. You have kids who are tweens or older middle school? Get a clue now, because I promise you, they will know this stuff soon, if they don’t already. The average age of exposure to sexually explicit material is now just about 8 years old. I was in second grade when I was 8… just food for thought.
Seriously, if you see these acronyms in conversations your kids are having online or via text, you need to look into it further and have discussions with them about it. Actually, you should have discussions with them about who they talk to and what’s appropriate anyway!
